AIDH: A French-speaking website dedicated to defending and promoting Human Rights and fundamental freedoms
Since its creation in May 2000, the Internet Association for the promotion of human rights (AIDH - Geneva) has been developing a Website of the portal type: http://www.AIDH.org., dedicated to defending and promoting human rights. The aim of the association is to promote a “human rights culture” on the World Wide Web - first in French, then in other languages - by devising and posting programmes online, open to all.
Dedicated to the Swiss philosopher Jeanne Hersch, in thanks for her support and in honour of her combat, this very complete French-speaking Website aims to be of a general nature according to a twofold theme: information and education. It groups together a large amount of information, not only on human rights, but also on the history of such rights and their current situation. It follows the headlines, includes important documents and provides all the necessary information in order to become aware, to understand and to analyse events and situations in relation to, or in conflict with, the rights of man, throughout the world.
