10. – 3^rd World Forum on Human Rights, in Nantes, France (June 30 to July 3, 2008)


A round-table is organized on the theme The Global Charter of Human Rights in the City. Promoting and achieving human rights locally: current actions and challenges. The Charter-Agenda project and similar actions are presented, such as the Montreal Charter of Rights and Responsibilities and the European Charter of Human Rights in the City.


At the round-table, the members of the Experts and Promoter groups decide to replace the French word "Ville" in the Charter's name with "Cité", which has a broader connotation of citizenship. The Charter’s French name thus becomes La Charte-agenda mondial des droits de l’Homme dans la Cité.
