The World Social Forum in Belém, Brazil (January 27-31, 2009)
The Charter-Agenda is presented within the context of the Right to the City theme, along with other subjects related to urban reform. The Charter-Agenda is also presented at the Forum of Local Authorities on January 31. On both of these days the Région des Pays de La Loire (France) and SPIDH present the Charter-Agenda on Human Rights in the City in conjunction with the World Charter on the Right to the City, which is promoted by such social movements as COHRE and HIC-AL.
The goal is to get the civil society organizations and local authorities present to share their comments and suggestions concerning these two projects. The WSF thus marks the first step of the Charter-Agenda project’s participative process.
