The Local and Regional Leaders World Summit in Mexico
Since 2007, the International Permanent Secretariat Human Rights and Local Governments (SPIDH Nantes – Pays de la Loire) is leading the working group which, within the World Federation of the United Cities and Local Governments UCLG, elaborated the Global Charter for Human Rights in the City. This Charter was officially presented to the members of the UCLG executive bureau at World Congress of the organisation (16 – 20 November 2010 in Mexico City). This politic document was unanimously recommanded by the executive bureau and will be adopted soon.
The International Permanent Secretariat Human Rights and Local Governments (SPIDH), which organised the 4th World Forum on Human Rights* in the Nantes International Convention Center from the 28th of June to the 1st of July 2010, will participate in the Local and Regional Leaders World Summit (3rd Congress of United Cities and Local Governments / UCLG) in Mexico from the 16th to the 21st of November 2010.
