How it works

The Forum provides a venue, open to all, for free dialogue on issues relating to  implementing and safeguarding human rights.  The debates are organised in the three official Forum languages: French, English and Spanish.

The Forum comprises:

sessions handled by the organisers in collaboration with its possible partners (as recommended by the Scientific Commission)

round tables:  more specific topics are discussed at round table sessions.  They are proposed and hosted by the interested participants, whether they are institutions, NGOs or associations.

The round tables introduce varying approaches of the main topics, using specific theme lines.  They can be organised by any particular body, invited to participate in the Forum, whatever its branch.  The round tables can be conducted in three languages (French, English and Spanish).
other activities, means of participation, exhibitions...

Other activities and means of participation may also be organised upon the initiative of participants.  Cultural events may notably be organised in order to reflect cultural diversity, to help understand one’s Neighbour and to enhance mutual respect among the different races and cultures represented.  Any proposals for exhibitions should be submitted to the Scientific Commission for assessment and approval.
